WELCOME TO PHYSICAL EDUCATION FOR THE 2019-2020 SCHOOL YEAR.

OUR OBJECTIVES
a. To promote fitness so that students will become physically, mentally, socially, emotionally and spiritually sound.
b. To engage students in a variety of activities so that they will maintain fitness for a lifetime.
c. To demonstrate techniques involved in sports and to teach rules, regulations and how to get along with others.
d. To teach students the harmful effects of drug abuse, alcohol abuse, tobacco/nicotine addiction and the effectiveness of abstinence.

STUDENTS ARE TO BE...
• PROMPT • PREPARED • POLITE • REMINDED TO KEEP THEIR HANDS TO THEMSELVES • REMINDED THAT BULLYING IS NEVER ALLOWED • REMINDED THAT THEY SHALL NOT LEAVE THE GYM WITHOUT PERMISSION. • REMINDED THAT FIGHTING IS NOT ALLOWED.
GYM/LOCKER ROOM GUIDELINES AND EXPECTATIONS
All Germantown Middle School rules and policies will be enforced •
Food, drinks , candy or gum will not be allowed in the gym and will be disposed of immediately if seen. •
Students are expected to dress out in the designated time given. No horseplay is allowed. •
Phones or other electronic devices will not be allowed at any time. •
Students are to remain in their assigned area until dismissal.
GRADING
Grades will be based upon the student’s dressing out in the appropriate Germantown Physical Education uniform , Participation and special assignments. The following lists the percentage of each.
ACTIVITIES
The following activities will be experienced; •
Physical Fitness • Football Fundamentals • Volleyball Fundamentals • Basketball Fundamentals • Badminton
• Square Dance • Bowling • Tennis • Kick Ball • Softball • Health and Safety Education • Ring Ball • Crab Soccer • Giant Volleyball .

- Students are required to wear the Germantown Middle Physical Education uniform with Tennis shoes.
- . • Participation is required unless a letter from a Parent or Physician is on file in the office.
